Second Love
Never looked and forever wondered,
Maybe the dream I had as a little girl had burned an asunder,
No surprisingly it stayed and rung loud like a glorious thunder.
A deep and true self realization that true happiness is on the horizon,
As my heart is captured and you are so unbelievably mesmerizing,
The hype and the excitement I am beginning to buy in,
So please…Lord knows I am tryin!!
No expectations and “X” out all the doubts,
What I feel inside…my blood pumps and I lose all count…
The number of times I have prayed for this,
Complete bliss of that gentle chocolate kiss.
To seal the deal…the greatest entree of that long awaited meal,
Can we finalize this deal?
Endless amount of patience has been built,
I am full and so are you to the hilt,
I want to fold you in my arms like my favorite quilt.
To smell your scent and to mingle essence,
We are about to be each other's beautiful blessing.
Another level of peace so freely and openly felt,
Worth more than any monetary wealth.
So I will wait…oh so patiently wait,
For I know and have faith your worth more,
My second love but you are my first mate.
Never complain and promise to be what you need,
And cheer you on in everything you do and watch you succeed.
My word, my bond and everything beyond,
Inspired just to know you and we are tighter than any chemical bond.
My friend from the beginning and there is no end,
To the day we decide to finally blend.
Who knows what the future holds,
You mean more to me than gold,
To see you happy and free is my ultimate goal.
I got you and you got me,
Protective of another as it naturally should be.
